Upward bound:
from Curtina to St Jean's col

6 hours (4 hours climbing, 2 hours descending)

Curtina suprana, the path which leads to the old gardens (follow the orange flags for the whole circuit*).

Do you want to see the sea from another perspective, dominate the valleys of Pietracorbara and Sisco, get a little closer to the Cipolla, a gigantic rock that dominates the dorsal spine of the Cap Corse, and discover the other side of the mountains? 700 meters of altitude, 4 hours climbing and half again to descend - all the elements are there for an unforgettable walk!

It's a good idea to leave in the cool of the early morning in Summer, and certainly not later than 7:00 because it's quite a hike. From Curtina suprana, take the path which leads to the old gardens (follow the orange flags for the whole circuit) and the oak forest and continue down to the river. Once you have crossed over the river, the climb begins. The path winds through a beautiful and well-preserved alder forest, by imposing arbutus trees, and continues alongside a shepherd's shelter - a troglodyte dwelling - which backs onto the rock which also serves as its roof. The trail leads up toward the cliff (E Filagne), along beside it and then off to the left.
