Saint Roch,
at Pietronacce, is easy to find, as it lies at the crossroads
of the village roads. Saint Roch is a popular saint in the Mediterranean
basin. He is the patron saint of shepherds and their flocks. Small
round loaves of bread called Saint Roch loaves are blessed every
August 16, during the parish fair.

Saint
Césaire, in Curtina, was the first church in Pietracorbara.
Situated high up, just before the hamlet, it dominates the valley.
A stone, probably a mortuary stone, is engraved with the date 1472.
The interior has been renovated and contains the original holy water
font. |

Saint Guillaume
is the only chapel in ruins: of the original building, only the
four walls remain, with a tree growing in the middle! It is located
in Lapedina suttana.

Standing proudly at the top of Lapedina
suprana is the Saint Pancrace chapel. This saint was
a young martyr of the early church. The chapel constitutes an
ancient place of worship, and the faithful in the Cap Corse return
in pilgrimage (the photograph opposite was taken in 1974). The
building itself has been renovated with great care. Thus, the
Saint Pancrace chapel is one of the most typical chapels of the
area, and enjoys a magnificent view of the whole valley.
