A part of the Curtina suttana hamlet and two of its inhabitants.

Curtina is an authentic and charming hamlet: positioned on the side of the mountain, the hamlet faces the island of Elbe. It is composed of two separate parts: Curtina suprana (upper Curtina) and Curtina suttana (lower Curtina). There is much to see, particularly in lower Curtina, where you will find beautiful stone houses, a set of well conserved arches, a spring, and even a rather amusing letterbox with a door made from shale! In the southwest, paths lead to ancient gardens and then to the river which winds down from the mountain. It is also the starting point for a number of trails leading to the mountain ridges. And don't be surprised if you bump into a shepherd who talks to his flock in German!

The hamlet as seen from the hill at Guadubughju.
