Springs and natural fountains:
a refreshing way to discover Pietracorbara

The Chiuselinu Spring. It's quite a hike to reach the Chiuselinu spring but it's definitely worth the effort! Located between Lapedina suprana (upper Lapedina) and the mountain which leads to the area referred to as U frate or the friar, a tiny mountain-fresh stream issues from the earth. Sit for a while and enjoy the majestic view of the valley before setting off to visit the rocky outcrop for which, according to local legend, the valley is named: a petra curbaghja or crow rock!

The European Fountain

The European fountain is not located in the maquis or bush; instead it can be found in a private garden which is open to the public. This extraordinary fountain is built from stones taken from remarkable European locations, including the Aran Islands, Auschwitz, Belfast, Berlin, Brussels, Cyprus, Copenhagen, the Danube, Dublin, Etna, Gdansk, the Major Lake, Malta, Mayerling, Paris, Prague, Spire, Saint Gall, Saint Petersburg, Strasbourg and Warsaw. Given that space has been left to add stones from other remarkable places, this fountain is the perfect metaphor for an ever-changing Europe.
