A flock of ewes at the bottom of Ponticellu.

Ponticellu, where the valley begins.

Ponticellu is located right next to Saint Clément's church. The hamlet is named after the old Genoese bridge under which runs the Fiumacci, one of the arms of the village river. The hamlet is longer than it is wide, and two rows of houses frame the main road. A relatively harmonious area, the hamlet's houses are surrounded by gardens that are both attractive and useful. Note the magnificent araucaria tree opposite the road which leads up to Ornetu.
