Rent a vintage house with terrace in the heart of a preserved valley, only five minutes from the sea


Want to discover Corsica in an original way ? We think your starting point could be a vintage house, a hamlet -l'Ornetu- that has character, and a preserved valley -Pietracorbara- in the heart of the Corsican cape.

 

The house  


-It is a traditional casa (72 m² on 3 levels) with steps made of stone. Completely renovated, it has got a brand new equipment for 4 or 5 persons.


-On the first floor, there is a living room with a sofa bed for one person, a bathroom with shower and toilet, an equipped kitchen (microwave, refrigerator-freezer, oven, extractor hood).


-On the second floor, two grown-ups can sleep in a double bed and two children in bunk beds. The first room is next to a restroom.


-On the ground floor, you can use the washing-machine and put your bikes in the paved cellar.


-In front of the house, there is a terrace rounded with flowers. You can enjoy the summer air thanks to its barbecue, its table and chairs.

The background
The house is located in l'Ornetu, an authentic hamlet of about thirty houses which are built in hive-like formation around a Genoese tower dating from the 15th century. The roofs are made of slate and stone, and eight bread ovens still exist.
The house is four kilometres -five minutes- away from the sea. And as the beach is one of the most beautiful in the area, you can go swimming whenever you want. It is also possible to go hiking, whether you wish to stay in the plain or reach the summits (1300 m), and horse riding.
Pietracorbara is 22 kilometres away from Bastia, the biggest city in the north of the island. At the same time, however, the village is widely preserved from the urban disturbances. It is a remarkable start to discover the whole region and its valleys.


The prices
The weekly renting (from Saturday 03:00 pm to next Saturday 11:00) is :
-550 € in July and August per week.
-500 € in June and September per week.
-450 € between October and May per week.
