Discover Pietracorbara, where the valley meets the sea ...

Pietracorbara, as seen from the Striaghju rock lookout
(August 1999).

With its white sand beaches, its scented maquis or bush, its hamlets with their slate and stone roofs, its natural springs, its grotto, its ancient stone bridges, towers and beautiful fountains, the Pietracorbara valley (Petracurbara in Corsican) is one of the most authentic and best preserved villages in the Cap Corse (the northern part of the island).

Located on the east coast, only half an hour from Bastia by car, Pietracorbara is 26 square kilometers of history, tradition and natural beauty. Bordered by five kilometers of dramatic coastline facing the islands of Caprai and Elbe, the valley backs onto a vast mountain range (in less than 12 kilometers as the crow flies, the altitude goes from 0 to 1300 m!).

Petra Viva, an association for the defense and promotion of Pietracorbara, invites you to take a virtual voyage of discovery. Let the many charms of the valley incite you to visit!
